This year, Sligo’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is celebrating the county’s designation as the European Volunteering Capital for 2017 with the theme of “Volunteering – the Spirit of Sligo”. We are inviting community groups to take part and celebrate this important year for County Sligo. Come join us when the town bursts into life, jam packed with free family friendly events. Sligo St. Patricks day was established in 1971. It is the one of the only events in Sligo that has been consistent throughout 46 years. This years parade starts at 12 noon on Mail Coach Road and finishes at Our Lady Of Mercy Primary School.
