The Simon Gigs is now in it’s 4th year.
In the past three years we have had the Gigs at just one Venue . This year we are planning to have them at various Venues in the center of Sligo City.. There is a number of reasons for this.
Firstly for those Artists who want to experience playing at different locations and connecting with those venues for future Gigs.
Secondly we want to raise more funds for the homeless by having a number of businesses involved and promoting this yearly event.
Thirdly I want to include a man who is desperately looking to raise funds for an Operation he needs in America. He has a serious lung problem and needs our help as he is finding it impossibile to raise enough money. He is a young Married man with Children and I know if we have enough help with this , we can help him get the treatment he needs.. This year we will be dividing the funds equally between him and the North West Simon Community…
Lastly we will be inviting the IT Sligo students to get involved this year by doing a pub crawl with buckets to support the Simon Gigs over this weekend. We would like the whole of Sligo to get involved this year. We want it to a fun Event for everyone involved.
We invite Bands and artists of all genres to donate their time to this Vital Cause . This event can not happen without you.
We invite volunteers to help on the weekend in any capacity they think might help.
We invite media to take a keen interest in this event and showcase it as one of Sligo’s yearly Events.
We invite Any Venue in Sligo that would like a fantastic night of Music and wants to participate in helping the homeless in the North West area and also Des , who needs to have this operation .
